I’ve inherited an OLM archive from a Mac user, but my current computer is Windows. The usual problem seems to be that OLM is tied to Outlook for Mac, while Windows Outlook generally expects PST instead.
I was looking for a viewer rather than immediately committing to a full migration.
MacSonik OLM Viewer Pro caught my attention because it claims to let users scan and read Mac Outlook OLM files without installing Outlook. It can also convert the data into Windows-friendly formats such as PST, CSV, HTML, DOC, PDF and EML.
The preview capability would be useful because I don't necessarily need the entire archive converted. I could inspect the mailbox, identify what matters, and then save only the required data.
I also noticed it maintains the original folder hierarchy during viewing and conversion. That seems important when an archive has years of Inbox, Sent Items, project folders and subfolders.
Has anyone here opened an OLM archive on Windows using a dedicated viewer? I’m mainly interested in whether the folder structure remains manageable after conversion and whether I can selectively save the messages I need.
