I’m dealing with a corrupted Outlook PST file and have already tried the usual ScanPST/Inbox Repair Tool. It detects errors, but after the repair, Outlook still doesn’t open the data properly and some folders appear to be missing. I’ve seen similar cases where ScanPST reports that the file is repaired, yet the underlying mailbox data remains inaccessible.
At this point, I’m looking for a reliable way to repair corrupted Outlook PST file  without making the original worse. I’m particularly concerned about emails, attachments, contacts, and folder structure.
Has anyone used a professional PST recovery utility when ScanPST fails? I came across the DRS Softech Outlook PST Repair Tool, which apparently offers Standard, Advanced, and Deep recovery modes and supports both ANSI and Unicode PST files.
Would it be better to create a copy of the damaged PST first and try recovery on that? Any recommendations from admins who have dealt with badly corrupted PST archives?
