I have a OneDrive account that has accumulated a large amount of data over the years, and I recently discovered that many files are duplicated across different folders. Some duplicates were created because files were uploaded more than once, while others appeared after syncing data between multiple computers.

The main problem is that there are too many folders to check manually. I want to find a reliable OneDrive duplicate file finder that can scan the entire account, identify duplicate files, and allow me to review the results before deleting anything. Support for both OneDrive Personal and OneDrive Business would also be important because the same cleanup requirement can apply to business accounts.

I came across SysInfo OneDrive Duplicate File Finder  while researching this issue. The Scan All Folders option looks particularly useful because duplicates may be located in completely different directories. Instead of comparing folders individually, the tool can scan the available OneDrive data and identify duplicate documents, images, videos, audio files, archives, and other supported file types.

I also found the Smart Grouping feature interesting. When a large number of duplicate files are detected, simply displaying a long list can make the cleanup process difficult. Grouping files using properties such as name, size, content, and file type could make it easier to determine whether two files are actually duplicates and which copy should be preserved.

Another thing I would consider important is the preview option. Before removing anything, I would prefer to inspect the detected files and verify their contents. This seems safer than relying only on matching filenames, especially when files have been renamed or stored in different folders.
