I have an MBOX archive containing years of personal and work correspondence, but I only need a small portion of it for sharing and long-term reference. Converting the entire archive seems unnecessary when I only need a few specific conversations.
I’m looking for a way to select individual emails or folders and export them into a suitable format. PDF would be convenient for sharing and reading, EML would help with individual email messages, and MSG could be useful for working with Outlook-related files.
I found the [DRS Softech MBOX Converter Tool](https://www.drssoftech.com/mbox-converter/), which lists PST, EML, MSG, PDF, and additional output formats, including text and image formats. It also offers selective conversion and lets users preview messages before choosing what to export.
One detail I particularly like is the ability to include attachments with converted emails or exclude them when they aren’t needed. The software also provides an option to extract and save attachments separately.
I’m trying to avoid unnecessary exports while keeping the important email content organized. I’d also prefer a straightforward interface that doesn’t require advanced technical knowledge.
What format do you normally choose when archiving emails for reference or sharing? If you’ve converted MBOX files to PDF or EML, did the results preserve the email content and attachments as expected?
