I'm trying to find the most reliable solution to Convert PST File data into multiple formats without losing important information. There are plenty of converters available, but many only support a handful of export formats or require Outlook to be installed, which isn't practical for my setup.
While researching, I came across the
MacSonik PST Converter , and its feature set looks much more comprehensive than many alternatives. It supports converting PST files into 20+ formats, including PDF, MBOX, EML, MSG, DOCX, CSV, JSON, PNG, and several others. That flexibility would be useful because different departments in our company require different output formats for documentation, archiving, and email client compatibility.
Another feature I found interesting is the ability to save converted files to any desired location, whether it's a local drive, external storage, shared network folder, or NAS device. That would fit nicely into our centralized backup strategy.
The software also claims to migrate more than just emails. It can convert contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, embedded images, hyperlinks, email signatures, and custom mailbox properties while preserving formatting and original timestamps. That's important because we occasionally need to restore complete mailbox information instead of just email messages.
For legal reviews, selective export seems particularly useful. The advanced filtering options allow exporting emails based on date range, sender, receiver, subject, or specific folders, so there's no need to process an entire mailbox when only a small subset is required.
One thing I appreciate is that the interface appears straightforward enough for non-technical users while still offering advanced features for administrators. Since not everyone on our team is experienced with Outlook data management, ease of use matters almost as much as functionality.
